Dirty Joke
Here's a little tidbit about my lovely sister Laura. When she first heard the title of my book, her response was not to call and tell me she liked it or even send a nice note. No, she sent me a dirty Scotsman joke instead.
So in honor of my sister and her disrespect for my genius, here's a very funny Scotsman joke. Enjoy.

Pictures!Here are a few pictures. They're not super new. These are all from the 2005 RWA conference where To Tempt a Scotsman won the Golden Heart!
I had to get up on stage (only the LARGEST STAGE IN THE WORLD) and make a speech. I hear that I did okay, but it's a little hazy. All I remember is that the Golden Heart pendant fell out of the box and the photographer was trying to tell me to pick it up, but I was growling "Just take the picture! Just take the picture!". So now I have a picture of me NOT holding up the award.

Last, but definitely not least, a picture of me with the amazing Connie Brockway. I finally tracked her down at the airport just as I was going home. It was such an honor to meet her and tell her that her amazing books inspired me to write. She was kind and funny and gracious. And she had Cheeto fingers, which made her easier to approach.
